Lisa's work has been selected for an upcoming exhibition at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SLOMA, San Luis Obispo, CA). Her painting, Memoire, will be on view in the national juried exhibition, entitled Another Way of Keeping a Diary, sponsored by the International Encaustic Association (IEA).
Exhibition Dates: November 20, 2015 – January 31, 2016.
SLOMA Art Talk and Opening Reception: Saturday, November 21, 2 PM, with a reception to follow from 3 to 5 PM.
The exhibition was organized Lola Baltzell and Flo Bartell (IEA) and SLOMA Curator Ruta Saliklis, and juried by artist David Limrite.
The theme of Another Way of Keeping a Diary is based on Picasso’s statement that “painting is another way of keeping a diary.” In this exhibit, artists will reflect, examine and demonstrate through encaustics the ways in which their art-making is a reflection of both inner life and personal history to record what is most meaningful to them through their art.
San Luis Obispo Museum of Art is located in the university city of San Luis Obispo, California and is the hub of the California Central Coast art community.
